· $10MM in self-originated SBA production (non-bank referred)

Your Role
As an SBA 7(a) Business Development Officer, you will own your pipeline end-to-end. Your focus is simple: source, structure, and close SBA loans while building long-term client and referral relationships.
Key Responsibilities
· Self-source and originate SBA 7(a) and USDA loans to meet personal and department production goals
· Actively prospect through your established referral network and new market opportunities
· Structure transactions that align borrower needs, SBA guidelines, and bank credit standards
· Prepare complete and accurate loan submission packages for credit review
· Collaborate with internal credit, closing, and servicing teams to move deals efficiently
· Present approved deals to borrowers, manage expectations, and drive timely closings
· Stay current on SBA SOPs, eligibility requirements, and competitive market trends
· Maintain PLP compliance and adhere to all bank, SBA, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (preferred)
· 3 years of SBA lending experience
· Documented success in government-guaranteed lending within a financial institution
· Working knowledge of:
o SBA 7(a), SBA Express, SBA Small Loan
o SBA 504
o USDA lending programs
· Strong sales instincts paired with sound credit judgment
· Ability to operate independently while leveraging internal support teams
· Exceptional communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
