Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as needed, contributing to advanced diagnostic processes.
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records within the Epic system.
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans.
- Support the front office with medical coding and scheduling as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred ; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix is advantageous.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of infection control practices is essential.
- Knowledge of dental coding will be considered a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are required.
