Dental Assistant

Overview
We are a general dentist office seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care through efficient clinical and administrative assistance. This role involves performing dental x-rays, sterilization procedures, and assisting with various dental treatments including but not limited to - dental fillings, crowns, root canals, and extractions. Candidates with RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) credentials are preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a professional environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Take dental x-rays accurately while adhering to safety protocols
• Perform sterilization procedures to maintain a sterile environment for all dental instruments and equipment
• Provide excellent patient care by preparing patients for treatments, explaining procedures, and ensuring their comfort
• Support four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and reduce procedure times
• Manage clinical supplies and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed

Skills

• Knowledge of dental x-ray techniques and safety standards
• Proficiency in sterilization procedures and infection control protocols
• Strong patient care skills with excellent communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting four-handed dentistry
• RDA or CDA certification is preferred; however, motivated candidates without certification will be considered for development opportunities
• Attention to detail, organization, and a professional attitude are essential for success in this role

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
