Dispatcher
Job Description: Our fleet continues to grow, and we are looking to add an additional dispatcher to our Logistics team, offering full benefits with weekly competitive pay. Prior trucking, warehouse, logistics, and/or cost control experience a plus! Candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, monitor drivers, provide updates to customers/brokers, enter reporting data, and negotiate the booking of loads. Position acts as primary interface between office, drivers, and maintenance by performing the following functions:
Essential Functions:
- Monitor drivers, negotiate loads, and update customers/brokers as needed.
- Communicates with drivers including status checks and coordinates for any changes in routes, schedule, equipment, etc. and providing assistance as needed.
- Collects, analyzes, and reports vehicle information such as odometer, hub, ECM readings, fuel usage, scale slips, expenses, etc.
- Helps others in logistics accomplish job-related tasks of fleet management.
- Improves job knowledge through staff development including but not limited to adjusting to new requirements/regulations and attending educational workshops.
- General office duties including, but not limited to operating a multi-line phone system, scanning, data entry, recordkeeping, etc.
- Follows standards, procedures, and regulations along with other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Outlook.
- Relevant work experience of at least 1 year.
