Ultrasound Technologist

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasonographer to join our medical team. As an Ultrasonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing accurate diagnostic images to assist in patient care. Position is flexible, full time or part time.

Duties:

- Perform ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to produce images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow

- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions

- Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images

- Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings as necessary to capture clear and accurate images

- Analyze images for quality and diagnostic value, ensuring all necessary anatomical structures are included

- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide accurate diagnoses

- Maintain patient records, documenting procedures performed and results obtained

- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasonographer preferred

- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and understanding imaging techniques

- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with patients and healthcare professionals
