Production Supervisor

Menzner Hardwoods Co. has an opening for a Production Supervisor to lead our 1st shift UV-Putty Line crew.

Specific duties include:

• Reviewing department schedules and assigning appropriate work to all department personnel.
• Directs and coordinates the department related activities occurring on 1st shift.
• Establishes work priorities for 1st shift in order to meet schedules.
• Coordinates the assignment of employees.
• Reviews and approves requests for time off, ensuring that sufficient employees are available to complete orders.
• Reviews machine set ups and work in progress to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Seeks, recommends, and implements methods to improve quality or productivity or reduce costs.
• Completes all required paperwork for orders, inventory, etc. Ensures that all employees are properly trained.
• Promotes safety and strives to improve safety performance. Enforces safety rules. Investigates accidents and works with the safety team to complete all required incident and accident report forms.
• Performs other duties as directed by Plant Manager.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years successful prior supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing setting. Must be physically capable of lifting / maneuvering up to 30 lbs. regularly, be capable of standing for 8 hours / shift. Shift involves significant standing and walking. Familiarity preferred with Outlook, Excel, Teams, ADP, Webex, and NetSuite.

First Shift Hours: 6:30a.m. - 2:30p.m. Monday - Friday. Shifts include a paid break and paid lunch. Overtime hours required as needs arise, which typically involve working 9 hour shifts Monday - Friday and a 6 hour shift on Saturdays.
