Mentorship Academy Advance Training Institute Inc. (MAATI) is a nonprofit organization committed to transforming the lives of youth and underserved communities through mentoring, academic enrichment, college and career readiness, and workforce development programs. We are seeking passionate and creative part-time Enrichment Instructors to lead engaging, skill-based workshops in one or more of the following areas: Drama/Theater, E-Gaming, Physical Education, Film & Digital Media, Dance, and Podcasting.
Each instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, project-based learning experiences that foster students’ creative expression, collaboration, and technical skills. Enrichment sessions should align with BOOST grant goals and support youth development through hands-on programming. Instructors will collaborate with program staff to ensure a safe, inclusive, and structured afterschool environment.
The ideal candidate will bring subject-matter expertise, youth facilitation experience, and a commitment to inspiring student voice and engagement. Enrichment Instructors will lead specialized workshops or classes aligned with their content area, helping students build creative, athletic, or technical skills.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in subject area (e.g., theater, gaming, media, etc.)
- Ability to engage and inspire youth through hands-on learning
- Experience adapting activities for multiple age levels
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma required; degree or credential in subject area preferred
- At least 1–2 years teaching or facilitating in an enrichment or extracurricular setting
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver structured sessions in assigned content area
- Set up materials and ensure safety protocols during sessions
- Foster student creativity, collaboration, and confidence
- Assess student progress and provide feedback when appropriate
