Location: Denver Tech Center, CO (Hybrid 4 days)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Network Engineer II to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with DOCSIS and DPOE systems, network architecture, routing protocols, and network security technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and the ability to assess, troubleshoot, and enhance complex network environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure and related hardware/software solutions.
  • Design, document, and maintain network architecture and topology diagrams.
  • Perform assessments of existing technologies to identify performance, reliability, and capacity gaps.
  • Develop recommendations to optimize network infrastructure and improve service delivery.
  • Configure, program, and maintain routers, switches, and other network devices.
  • Establish security standards, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, and connectivity parameters.
  • Test, tune, and optimize network security devices and systems.
  • Implement and support communications technologies, including data and voice networks.
  • Manage network services and projects from planning through implementation and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to support infrastructure initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in Network Engineering, Network Administration, or related technical roles.
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with enterprise network hardware and software platforms.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and related networking technologies.
  • Experience with network performance monitoring and capacity planning.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certification.
  • Experience in telecommunications, broadband, cable, or service provider environments.
  • Exposure to network automation and scripting tools.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or carrier-class network environments.
