Responsibilities:
- Install, replace, and decommission network equipment
- Perform rack & stack activities for network hardware
- Trace, label, and patch copper and fiber cabling
- Install and replace Cisco switches, routers, and related hardware
- Provide onsite Smart Hands support to remote network engineering teams
- Perform console access, device validation, and basic network troubleshooting
- Verify hardware connectivity and assist with implementation activities
- Document completed work and communicate project status
- Active CCNA certification (Required)
- Experience with Cisco switches, routers, and enterprise networking equipment
- Hands-on experience with rack & stack, structured cabling, and hardware replacement
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and basic network troubleshooting
- Experience working in Smart Hands, Field Services, Data Center, or Network Support environments
- Ability to follow implementation plans and work independently onsite
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Laptop with administrative access
- Console cable
- Mobile hotspot
- Label maker
- Rack screws
- Required SFP modules (as applicable)
- Fiber patch cords
- Ethernet patch cords
- Basic hand tools
- Competitive hourly rate
- 1099/B2B independent contractor engagement
