The division ensures that MAP not only delivers programs, but understands their effectiveness, continuously improves them, and communicates impact responsibly to stakeholders, partners, and the communities we serve.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Impact to lead MAP’s impact measurement, evaluation strategy, and learning systems. This role ensures that program outcomes are clearly defined, tracked, and continuously improved through ethical, trauma-informed, and data-driven practices.
The Director of Impact will translate research, data, and program activity into meaningful insights, helping MAP understand and demonstrate its impact while strengthening program quality and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of impact measurement frameworks across MAP programs
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcome metrics aligned with organizational goals
- Oversee program evaluation processes and continuous improvement systems
- Collaborate with Research and Data teams to align measurement and analysis
- Translate data and research findings into actionable insights for program teams
- Support development of impact reports for stakeholders, partners, and funders
- Ensure ethical, trauma-informed, and dignity-centered evaluation practices
- Align impact measurement with PromiseInsight platform development
- Collaborate with Policy & Advocacy teams to connect impact data to systems change efforts
- Maintain timely, professional responsiveness via email and chat in Google Workspace
Required
- Background in program evaluation, impact measurement, research, or related field
- Experience developing KPIs, outcome frameworks, and evaluation systems
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to translate data into strategic insights
- Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values
- Advanced degree in public policy, evaluation, social sciences, or related field
- Experience in nonprofit, education, or youth-serving organizations
- Familiarity with mixed-methods evaluation approaches
- Experience with data visualization or reporting tools
- Volunteer leadership role
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
- Fully remote with optional NYC-based collaboration
- Leadership experience shaping impact strategy in a mission-driven organization
