Hybrid – onsite Tues, Wed, Thursday
1st shift: 9AM – 5PM
Top 3 Skills:
1. Microsoft Office Suite experience
2, Product Development experience
3. Some knowledge of GM systems – not required, just preferred
Education - Bachelor of Science in engineering Degree required for this position, hard requirement no exceptions
Years of experience – 5 years minimum
Knowledge of product design, Microsoft Office Suite, DFMEA, GD&T, DFSS and GM change management systems preferred.
Soft skills – good communication, looking at various system interactions they had with each assignment, different functional areas they interacted with, should be able to learn quickly
Nice to have – experience with vehicle closures (side doors, front/rear, tailgates)
Lead regular Product Development Team to manage issues related to the product engineering of Exterior Hardware mechatronic components
Author Engineering Change Requests to update the designs of these parts for quality and cost improvements.
Track and reduce warranty associated with these parts.
Follow up with suppliers and GM personnel to assure that targets are met on time.
On site require every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Working remotely on Monday and Friday is generally acceptable as long unless required otherwise by GM manager.
