Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editing & Content Production Intern to support our podcast and content production efforts for Summer 2026. You will work on editing episodes, short films/documentaries creating engaging short-form video content, and supporting ongoing campaign production for social media. This is a valuable opportunity to build a portfolio while contributing to a mission that matters.
Responsibilities
- Edit video episodes of the We Are Mentally United podcast and Mentally United Short Films/Documentaries.
- Create promotional clips and engaging short-form content for Mentally United Inc.
- Add captions, transitions, effects, and graphics to enhance storytelling and accessibility
- Assist with editing and producing videos for community campaigns and short documentaries
- Collaborate with our team on content ideas, storytelling approaches, and production timelines
- Stay updated on short-form content trends and best practices for each platform
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently Graduated from a Degree Program in Film, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar tools is a plus)
- Experience creating social-first video content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
- Strong attention to detail and visual storytelling
- Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively
- A passion for mental health advocacy and creative storytelling
Time Commitment
- Summer 2026 (June to August - Fall 2026 Extension Available)
- Minimum 10 hours per week
- Flexible schedule, fully remote
This is an unpaid internship. We offer college credit (if eligible), a certificate of completion, mentorship, leadership development opportunities, and meaningful portfolio work that makes a real impact in the community.
