Patient Access Specialist
FT, Monday-Friday
1st Shift, No weekends or holidays
Position Summary
Coordinates admission data input and flow of paperwork working with the Revenue Cycle Department to ensure accuracy of billing information. Under the direction of the Support Services Manager, performs clerical functions related to registration, scheduling, and auditing functions to support the various front desk clerical functions at MHS. Serves as a backup for Support Services Manager and Front Desk at all locations.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Associate’s degree in related field (Preferred)
- 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare administration/registration/billing preferred
Licensure/Certifications
- NVCI
- CPR (BLS)/First Aid
MHS provides CPR/First Aid and NVCI (CPI Blue) for all new staff, along with on-going education and on-the-job training opportunities.
All MHS candidates are required to have an Ohio BCI check (FBI check required if you have lived in Ohio for less than 5 years, or for working with children) and a 5-panel drug screen upon conditional offer of employment. Residential candidates require a 2-step TB up offer of employment.
Salary : $16 - $19
