Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on employment matters, including agreements, compensation structures, and regulatory compliance.
- Advise on employment issues such as hiring, discipline, performance management, and termination.
- Lead internal investigations and manage active litigation, liaising with outside counsel as needed.
- Draft strategic materials and present on labor and employment topics to leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams across functions like HR, Risk Management, and Finance.
- Stay updated on laws, identify legal trends, and offer strategic guidance.
- J.D. and 5 years of labor and employment experience, preferably supporting healthcare providers.
- Experience with physician employment and healthcare-related legal issues is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Ability to evaluate risks, issue-spot, and build support among stakeholders.
- Commitment to ongoing legal knowledge development and a client-focused approach.
