Role: Medical Instrument Technician (Polysomnography) responsible for operating and maintaining polysomnographic equipment in a sleep laboratory setting.
Key Duties: Prepare and calibrate sleep study equipment, operate polysomnographic recording instruments to capture sleep data, prepare and educate patients, perform minor equipment repairs, post-calibrate devices, and independently interpret sleep recording data.
Qualifications: Certified Polysomnography Technologist, preferably registered by the Board of Polysomnography Technologists (BRPT). Requires at least one year of specialized experience in sleep disorder evaluation, including in-center and home testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and equipment management.
Skills: Proficiency in operating sleep study equipment, patient communication, minor technical repairs, data interpretation, and adherence to safety and procedural standards.
