What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Crisis Specialist position at Mental Health Association of Frederick County?
The Mental Health Association of Frederick County is currently seeking several passionate individuals to serve as a Mobile Crisis Specialist. These positions are responsible for providing face-to-face crisis intervention, support, and information and referral, to anyone who accesses Mobile Crisis Services by providing timely face-to-face crisis intervention, support, and information and referral to clients; collecting, maintaining, and reporting accurate demographics and statistics of clients served; practicing appropriate crisis intervention techniques; demonstrating empathetic and client-centered perspective; maintaining professional confidentiality and appropriate boundaries with clients and community partners; and conducting thorough safety assessments and safety planning with goal of accessing least restrictive safety options.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in mental health related field, or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist with two years crisis intervention experience preferred; flexible availability with working knowledge of computer software applications; strong oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills and familiarity with local community resources and the ability to interact effectively and empathetically in all situations and with a variety of people. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. EOE.
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 – 40.0 per week
