What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Life Safety and Security position at Menno-Haven Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Life Safety policies, procedures, and emergency action plans
- Perform routine facility inspections, audits, and manage the scheduling of testing and maintenance for all fire safety systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and standards
- Conduct fire and emergency drills at all locations and maintain team member training on safety policies and procedures
- Respond to emergencies promptly and implement the emergency action plan
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all safety activities, inspections, trainings, DHS surveys, incident reports, audits, and equipment maintenance
- Provide leadership and training to all of Menno Havens' security officers, including scheduling, payroll, hiring, and disciplinary actions
- Oversee the organization's safety committee
Qualifications:
- Valid PA driver's license
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have or willingness to acquire PA Pesticide Applicators License Cat.24
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Working experience in a healthcare facility
- Working knowledge of fire suppression systems
- Working knowledge of emergency generators
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations after normal work hours
- Proficient knowledge of safety regulations, fire codes, OSHA standards, and Department of Health Life Safety inspections
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
