We're looking for an innovative educator who is passionate about hands-on, project-based learning and inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers, creators, and innovators. As Menlo pursues Ohio STEM designation, you'll have the opportunity to design exciting STEM experiences, integrate technology in meaningful ways, and collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to redefining what learning can look like for gifted students. An Ohio Educational Technology Endorsement or similar credential is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Focus on the whole child, with positive behavior supports encouraging learning from mistakes and comprehensive social/emotional learning strategies
- Teaching in flexible mixed-grade ability groups
- Creating extension experiences such as field trips, assemblies, contests, competitions and clubs.
- Expected to be innovative in their approach to curriculum
- Supported in their efforts to use STEM methods
- Validated in their use of engaging, higher level learning activities
