Role Description The Intervention Specialist will provide specialized instruction and support for students with IEPs while collaborating closely with teachers, counselors, families, and related service providers. This role focuses on ensuring students receive individualized support that allows them to access rigorous gifted instruction while developing the skills necessary for long term success.
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional or behavioral needs, or other exceptionalities.
- Strong understanding of special education law, IEP development, and progress monitoring.
- Knowledge of evidence based instructional and behavioral support practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to supporting the unique needs of gifted and twice exceptional learners.
