What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT position at MENDES & MOUNT LLP?
Job Summary:
Assist attorneys with various legal documents such as: motions, discoveries, summonses and complaints, subpoenas, cross-claims and other pleadings. Coordinate with attorneys any timesheets and/or reports with urgency.
Essential Functions:
Assist attorneys in busy litigation department with drafting of various legal documents.
Assist attorneys with timesheets and reports.
Handle word-processing: pleadings, discovery, depositions, notices, correspondence, memos, and briefs.
Prepare and format Excel spreadsheets.
Edit, format, proofread and finalize legal pleadings which include preparing table of contents and table of authorities.
Screen and forward telephone calls to appropriate recipient.
Type accurately and proofread work. Assist with formatting Letters, Memorandums, Briefs, Motions, etc.
Prepare New Case Forms & E-mail New Case Opening.
Enter time in 3E.
Prepare Check Request forms.
Prepare Amex and Out of Pocket Statements.
Prepare Travel Authorization Forms, Travel Memos, & Benefit Day Memos.
Organize various binders w/ tabs.
Photocopying & Filing
Additional Responsibilities:
Reception coverage on a daily/ weekly basis.

Job Qualifications:
Expert knowledge of Legal Documents.
Expert knowledge of Word and Excel.
TOA and TOC knowledge preferred
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
