Position Overview
We’re seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working in a small, team-focused environment. This position combines clinical and administrative responsibilities and offers hands-on training in men’s health and hormone therapy.If you’re detail-oriented, personable, and eager to grow in a specialized field, this is the perfect opportunity.
Responsibilities - Clinical Duties
- Welcome and room patients; obtain and record medical histories and vital signs
- Perform phlebotomy for lab testing (primary clinical focus)
- Assist with in-office procedures
- Prepare patients for exams and support providers during treatments
- Maintain exam rooms, instruments, and supplies per infection-control standards
- Provide patient education and after-care instructions
Responsibilities - Administrative Duties
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Manage check-in/check-out, payments, and insurance verification
- Document visits accurately in the EMR (experience with Jane App or similar systems preferred)
- Answer calls, respond to messages, and coordinate follow-up communication
- Support billing, and prescription requests as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.) preferred
- CPR/BLS certification (required or obtainable within 30 days of hire)
- Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
- Experience in men’s health, urology, or primary care a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with EMR/EHR systems
