Clerk – Fall Break Learning Academy

Serves as primary contact for staff, students, parents and the public at the fall break school site. Welcomes and assists everyone who enters the fall school site and directs them to the appropriate staff. Supports the fall school site by performing general office and routine clerical duties.

• Performs routine, but varied clerical duties including typing, copying, maintaining files, tabulating information and/or preparing reports, answering phones, and distributing mail.
• Utilizes computer equipment for word processing, information input, and/or information retrieval.
• Maintains student records including attendance, late check in or early check out, grades etc. Processes forms such as payroll and student records. Ensures information is correct and complete before sending it to the fall break school central office for entry into the SMS system.
• Sorts and files various records, correspondence, reports and other materials. Retrieves requested materials from files. Maintains records on staff, students and fall school activities.
• Performs research, compiles data into reports and makes routine mathematical calculations.
• Prepares various correspondence, reports or other materials from copy or rough drafts.
• Greets visitors, answers phones and refers callers to appropriate staff members, responds to information requests and explains routine rules and regulations to staff, students, parents and the public.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding fall school business matters and staff or student records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
  
  
  

Graduation from High School or GED. Two (2) years of clerical experience preferred.

The following special conditions are required Commitment for the entire period of fall break. Attendance at ALL periodic administrative meetings. Availability prior to the end of the regular school assignment to participate in fall school setup and preparation. Availability for fall school closeout.
