Estimator/ Project Manager

Memphis Fence Company is looking for a self-motivated professional to perform estimates and manage sold projects. This person will be responsible for bidding fence projects from blueprints and managing the projects when they are sold.

Requirements

• Experience in construction field as a superintendent, project manager or estimator.
• Experience navigating bid documents including blueprints, specifications, preliminary schedules, etc.
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Must be well versed in using computers, tablets, smart phones, etc.
• Must be professional and presentable when interacting with customers or vendors.
• Must be a positive team player.
• Must be willing to learn.
• Must be willing to do things differently than in previous positions.
  
  

Duties Will Include

• Review plan sets and determine entire scope of work.
• Perform takeoff and submit proposal.
• Follow up on proposals.
• Review contract prior to submitting for execution.
• Prepare and submit proposal package.
• Prepare and deliver submittal package.
• Coordinate material order/delivery.
• Coordinate installation.
• Communicate with contractors, vendors, subcontractors, install crews, etc.
  
  

Pay is dependent on qualifications and experience. Applicants with little or no experience would be at the bottom end of the pay range. Applicants with a high level of experience would be at the high end of the range. Pay is negotiable for the right person with the right experience.

This position will be performed on our property Monday – Friday 7:00 – 4:30. Occasional travel will be required for out-of-town projects. Applicants would be expected to travel to jobs as necessary for meetings, starting crews, handling issues, etc. Weekend work is rare and would only be required to meet hard deadlines.
