What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Specialist position at Memphis Center for Reproductive Health?
Job Summary
The Social Media Specialist will play a key role in helping expand our social media and marketing initiatives. Specifically, the Social Media Specialist will work closely with the Development/Communications team to implement the organization’s comprehensive communications and marketing plans.
The Social Media Specialist will have a demonstrated interest in social media strategy, digital outreach, and marketing. Previous experience in graphic design, social media planning, and video editing is a plus. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Projects and Duties
? Collaborate with Development/Communications team to develop and implement a consistent social media strategy that educates the community about reproductive health and promotes CHOICES’ wide array of services.
? Create engaging, on-brand videos and graphics for use on CHOICES social media platforms, newsletters, and other projects as assigned.
? Manage and respond to social media messages, comments, and reviews to enhance audience engagement.
? Assist with the creation of newsletters and other donor-facing communications as needed.
? Attend community outreach events as needed, recording content when appropriate.
? Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
? Background in Communications or strong interest in one of more of the following areas: marketing, social media, graphic design, and reproductive health
? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
? Outstanding writing and editing skills
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
? Enthusiasm for the mission of CHOICES: Center for Reproductive Health and the services we provide
