INFUSION NURSE

This is a Full Time Position

Compensation Range: $33.58 to $50.38

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Infusion based IV and oral therapy, some chemotherapy.
• Monitoring patients receiving IV infusions, including pre infusion triage.
• Recognize and address patient’s psychological and physical needs.
• Reviewing patient labs for appropriateness of therapy.
• Able to perform full patient assessment along with proper documentation.
• Able to use safety devices as prescribed by organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Strives to uphold regulatory requirements to ensure continual compliance with departmental, hospital, state, and federal regulations and policies.
• Follows policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and risk management to ensure a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions with a valid driver’s license).
• Must be able to legally work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
• Must complete employee health meeting.

Required Education/Licensure/Certification:

• Unencumbered RN License/Certification
• Obtain Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification (AHA).

Experience:                                                                         

• Infusion experience (preferred)
• Chemotherapy experience (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a comparable setting (preferred)

Salary : $34 - $50
