JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing assistive care to patients. The incumbent facilitates delivery of patient care, supports the professional role of the licensed staff, and provides support and assistance as directed by licensed provider in rendering basic healthcare to the patient. This position also assists with clerical and environmental tasks as appropriate.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a certified Medical Assistant Program preferred. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to perform essential functions of the job as outlined below; demonstrates human relation and effective communication skills; demonstrates proficiency in clinic specialty skills within six weeks of hire. *Specialty skills may not be performed until the new hire has completed competency testing.
