Peri-operative RN will function primarily as a circulator, but may be used as a scrub with adequate training.  The peri-operative RN provides patient care before, during, and after procedure.  They have specific surgical experience whose primary job is to function as part of a team, giving guidance to the team while being a patient advocate.
