Under the general supervision of the Nursing Director, renders professional nursing care to obstetric patients in accordance with physicians’ treatment plans and standards of evidence-based practice. Assesses maternal and fetal condition, plans patient care, administers prescribed medications, provides treatments, offers patient and family education, and evaluates patient progress. Documents pertinent observations and reports responses to interventions. Advocates for mothers, infants, and families to achieve the best possible outcome.
