What are the responsibilities and job description for the OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY HOSPITALIST (PER DIEM) position at Memorial Healthcare System Physician and Provider Careers?
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist with greater than three years of experience to join our growing team on a staff relief (per diem) basis. Memorial Healthcare System is a quaternary care center with a strong referral base. Candidates must have training from an ACGME-accredited institution, be an ABOG active candidate or ABOG Board Certified Diplomate (Board Certified Diplomate preferred).
The incumbent will collaborate with community physicians to ensure that patients are afforded high-quality care ranging from routine obstetrical and gynecologic services to high-risk procedures with the support of a multidisciplinary team of midwives, maternal fetal medicine specialists, and neonatologists. Staff relief call schedule is available in either 24-hour or 16-hour inpatient shifts. Responsibilities include labor floor, postpartum maternity, ED, triage, inpatient consults, and emergent gynecologic surgeries. In addition, residents from Memorial’s ACGME-accredited GME Program share call with the OBGYN service.
This is an employed position that offers professional malpractice and medical liability covered under sovereign immunity.
