What are the responsibilities and job description for the NEUROSURGERY INPATIENT (DAY SHIFT) ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER position at Memorial Healthcare System Physician and Provider Careers?
The Neuroscience Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team. The selected candidate will partner with a multidisciplinary team of neuroscience providers to deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative evidence-based care under the general supervision of a physician in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities will include organizing and presenting patient data during daily rounds, performing appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and providing patients with health maintenance and follow-up care. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care, or an ER setting as an Advanced Practice Provider. Candidates must have a national Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification, or Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are 8 AM – 5 PM, with weekend, and rotating holidays, as needed. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
