What You'll Do
As a member of our Grounds Maintenance team, you'll provide a variety of duties related to construction, installation, maintenance, upkeep, beautification and repair of Cemetery Grounds and environment.
Duties will also include:
- Meet performance standards established with the employee's manager
- Perform general maintenance and repairs to Cemetery Grounds
- Operate powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, chain saw etc.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, clippers, saws etc.
- May install and maintain sprinkler systems, perform landscape construction and maintenance, including but not limited to mowing, aerating, pruning, landscape and planting trees, shrubs, sod flowers, and lawn seed
- May assist in burials at grave sites
- Remove snow from walks, driveways and park lots
- Spread salt as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What We'll Love About You
- One year of experience related field preferred
- Valid New Mexico Drivers License
- Knowledge maintenance equipment such as mowers, aerators, trimmers, etc.
- Know sprinkler systems design and installation
- Safety precautions associated with equipment operations
- Interpersonal communication skills ability to communicate both verbally and writing
- Ability develop effective working relationships with supervisor subordinates and public
