Telehandler

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the telehandler safely to lift, move, and place materials at specified locations and heights 
• Inspect machinery daily to ensure proper functioning and safety before use
• Select and attach appropriate attachments (forks, buckets, baskets, or winches) for different tasks
• Maintain stability and security of loads during movement
• Navigate work sites safely, coordinating with team members to avoid accidents
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and reporting malfunctions 
• Follow site health, safety, and security protocols at all times

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy machinery, preferably in construction or industrial settings 
• Knowledge of site operations and safety procedures is advantageous 
• Certifications such as a Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) card or Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card are often required a plus
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record may be necessary 
• Attention to detail, spatial awareness, and communication skills to coordinate with other personnel
