What are the responsibilities and job description for the GLAZIER position at Memco?
MEMCO Houston is looking for experience commercial glazier with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Job details are below. If interested please send resumes to Isaias Rodriguez at isaias@memcostaffing.com or call 713-683-8996 for more questions.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Commercial Glazier to install, replace, and repair commercial glass systems for job sites across our service area. This is a field-based, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precise, code-compliant work and can keep a project moving without cutting corners — because for our commercial clients, a broken storefront or a stalled tenant build-out means lost revenue every day it sits unfinished.
What You'll Do
●Install and replace commercial glass systems: storefront glazing, exterior entry doors, sliding glass door systems, glass walls, partitions, and railings
●Execute tenant-improvement and new-construction glazing installs alongside general contractors
●Respond to storefront damage and emergency repair calls — including occasional after-hours work — to get clients back up and running fast
●Take accurate field measurements and relay glass/hardware specs to the fabrication team
●Read and work from commercial architectural drawings and plans
●Set frames, cut and fit glass, glaze, seal, and finish each install to a clean, professional standard
●Safely operate glass-handling equipment (vacuum lifts, suction cups, dollies, etc.)
●Follow OSHA and job-site safety protocols on every project, every time
●Communicate clearly with property managers, general contractors, and the office on job status and timelines
●Keep your truck, tools, and job site organized
What You Bring
●2 years of commercial glazing experience — storefront, curtain wall, or commercial entry systems strongly preferred
●Working knowledge of aluminum framing systems, glazing techniques, and sealant application
●Comfortable reading commercial blueprints and architectural drawings
●Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
●Ability to safely lift and carry large glass panels and work at heights (ladders/lifts)
●OSHA 10 certification a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
●Strong communication and reliability — you represent Gatsby Glass on every job site you're on
●Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
What We Offer
●Competitive pay based on experience
●Steady, year-round work with a growing local business backed by a national brand
●Shop-supported role — fabrication, material sourcing, and scheduling handled in-house so you can focus on the install
●Room to grow as our commercial division expands across Greater Katy and West Houston
