Job Summary:
MEMCO is currently hiring dependable and hardworking individuals for a General Labor position at a project site in Pharr, TX. This is a temporary assignment supporting construction crews with general labor duties and site clean-up. This is a federal project, so a clean background is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general site clean-up, including sweeping, removing debris, and organizing materials
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials around the job site
- Use basic hand tools as needed to support construction tasks
- Lift and carry materials weighing 50–75 lbs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety guidelines and supervisor instructions
- Provide general labor support to crews as needed
Requirements:
- Previous construction site experience required
- Must be able to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Steel-toe boots required
- Must be able to pass a background check (federal project requirement)
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
