Job Summary
MEMCO Staffing is seeking an experienced General Foreman for a long-term commercial construction project in Victoria, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven construction leader seeking stable, long-term employment with the potential to continue on future commercial construction projects.
The General Foreman will oversee multiple crews and field operations while working closely with the Superintendent and Project Management team to ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, the ability to coordinate multiple trades, and a commitment to jobsite safety and productivity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise multiple construction crews and trade foremen.
- Coordinate daily field activities to maintain project schedules and production goals.
- Plan work assignments, manpower, equipment, and material needs.
- Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Promote and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and pre-task planning with crews.
- Work closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor labor productivity and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Resolve field issues and coordinate solutions to minimize delays.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain daily reports, production logs, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Foreman, Foreman, or Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple crews and coordinate daily field operations.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work at active construction sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
- Experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, industrial, or municipal construction projects.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
