Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofer with 5 years of commercial roofing experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, standing seam metal roofing, and modified bitumen (Mod Bit). This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a commercial roofing crew.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, replace, and maintain commercial roofing systems.
- Perform work on TPO, metal roofing, and modified bitumen (Mod Bit) roof systems.
- Install insulation, flashing, edge metal, coping, and roof accessories.
- Conduct roof inspections and identify leaks or damaged roofing materials.
- Remove and replace existing roofing systems as needed.
- Operate roofing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and follow project plans, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while following OSHA and company safety standards.
- Work effectively with foremen, supervisors, and other crew members to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial roofing experience required.
- Proven experience with:
- TPO roofing systems
- Standing seam/metal roofing
- Modified Bitumen (Mod Bit) roofing
- Experience with commercial roof repairs, replacements, and new construction.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Familiarity with roofing hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with additional commercial roofing systems such as PVC, EPDM, BUR, or roof coatings.
- Experience installing sheet metal flashing, coping, gutters, and trim.
- Ability to identify roofing deficiencies and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
This position is ideal for a dependable commercial roofer who takes pride in quality workmanship and has extensive experience working on TPO, metal, and modified bitumen roofing systems in commercial construction environments.
