Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Experienced Accountant
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and oversee an efficient and timely monthly financial close process
- Oversee and/or produce the preparation of general ledger journal entries and monthly reconciliations
- Performs analysis on income statement and balance sheets accounts
- Monitors and maintains department accounting systems and procedures
- Ensures adequate internal controls are in place
- Lead accountant to develop, deliver and exceed expectations regarding accuracy, timeliness and customer service
- Leverage the capabilities of the D365 Enterprise system to automate accounting functions
- Assist the CFO in identifying special accounting issues and performing necessary research to ensure compliance
- Supervision of staff member(s)
- Other responsibilities as needed and assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Deep knowledge of A/P, A/R, and general ledger and how they fit into the overall financial statement story
- Team player and leader
- Able to perform at a high level of urgency
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Must be able to take initiative and work with minimal guidance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Effective problem-solving skills
