You will be scheduled to work D shift (Wednesday-Friday, and every other Saturday 6:00pm-6:00am). Training will take place on B shift PM shift (Sunday-Tuesday, and every other Saturday) before transitioning to D shift.

Lab Technician: Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Essential Job Functions

· Apply technical skills to perform laboratory testing and analysis for Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) manufacturing and development

· Assist lab supervision and engineers with sustaining, developing, and improving testing processes, procedures and equipment in a 24x7 environment

Ancillary Job Functions

· Ability to work in one or more test functions/types

· Prepare test samples using one or more techniques including ICPMS – Plasma Mass Spectrometer

· Train on other lab processes

· Respond to out-of-control signals for lab metrology (SPC)

· Perform or assist with preventative maintenance and calibrations as required by facilities/equipment

· Assist with development or improvement of test methods by conducting MSA studies, document/revise procedures

· Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Attention to detail: Critical for detecting defects and ensuring precision in measurements and documentation.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities: Interpreting complex data, troubleshooting test failures.
• Organizational and time management skills: Handling multiple samples/tests in a high-volume production environment while meeting deadlines.
• Communication skills: Clearly documenting findings, reporting to engineers/managers, and collaborating across teams (e.g., production, R&D).
• Teamwork and adaptability: Working in shift-based, team-oriented settings and adapting to rapidly evolving technologies/processes.
• Must be comfortable wearing a full-body cleanroom suit.

Preferred Qualifications

· Associate’s degree in science or a relevant field of study or equivalent

· Lab and Cleanroom experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Display initiative/self-motivation to get the job done under indirect supervision

· Willingness to occasionally work overtime

· Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft Office, other software or hardware, manufacturing systems and equipment, etc.)

· Possess good verbal and written communication skills.

· Fine motor skills required to prepare solutions and cleaning labware

Work Environment

· Cleanroom lab environment

· Exposed to moderate noise level

· Working with hazardous acids

Physical Abilities

· Light sedentary office work

· Minimal lifting (<=25 lbs) may be required
