What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Truck/Trailer Technician - Second Shift position at Melton Truck Lines?
Our Service Technicians perform repairs and regular maintenance on all company equipment.
The shift for this position is Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties as assigned.
1. Performs and/or assists in the performance of preventative maintenance and repairs to our fleet of semi tractors and trailers.
2. Troubleshoots and accurately perform repairs such as brakes, oil changes, wheel seals, minor electrical, part swaps, and fluid changes.
3. Accurately document all work and repairs.
4. Advise foreman of parts and inventory needs.
5. Follows safety practices and shop regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience performing repairs to fleet trucks and trailers.
Must have tools.
Must be English/Spanish bilingual.
CDL preferred but not required.
Must be able to lift 75 pounds and work in a non-climate controlled shop environment.
