Overview
Heritage Production, LLC DBA Melt to Make is located in Northampton, MA. We produce high quality bulk pectin and gelatin base for both the cannabis and nutraceutical industries and are growing at a rapid pace. The Warehouse Supervisor assumes responsibility and accountability for the efficient operation of the warehouse and shipping operations with a focus on organization, order fulfilment, accurate recordkeeping, inventory control, space utilization and maintaining established safety and hygiene standards. Responsible for effective communication with all departments in areas of shared teamwork. This role requires dedicated time each day to working alongside the warehouse staff to ensure the operational needs are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations:
- Optimize warehouse space utilization by designing efficient layouts, managing storage configurations, and maximizing vertical storage capacity and segregation of products.
- Coordinates cycle counts as needed through the use of the ERP system.
- Maintains all paperwork accurately, including Pick tickets, BOLs and others as directed.
- Manages housekeeping of all designated areas to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Follows all systems and procedures to ensure the safe, effective, and optimal use of the warehouse.
- Ensures availability of all production materials for Operations staff.
- Coordinates with the Purchaser for the procurement of materials needed for the daily operation of the warehouse.
- Provides guidance to Warehouse Associates for day-to-day task management and prioritization.
Shipping:
The Warehouse Supervisor maintains a good working relationship with all shipping representatives and vendors. They coordinate daily with the Sales Operations Manager to ensure all shipping-related concerns related to customer orders are handled in an appropriate and timely manner. This position assists the warehouse associates in daily activities as available in the following manner:
- Coordinates all outgoing shipping activities. Assist in picking and preparing orders for shipment via UPS or freight carrier while maintaining 100% order accuracy.
- Prepare pallets for shipments (wrapping, etc.) and labels appropriately.
- Create Bills of Lading per customer specific instructions.
- Prepare all parcel orders for shipment (boxing, filling, etc.) and labels appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be proficient in basic math functions.
- Have the ability to learn necessary software. Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
- Must have ability to efficiently manage time, and work independently as well as a member of a team.
- Must be able to pay attention to detail, follow procedures, and problem solve.
- Must be reliable.
Additional Skills / Experience:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with strong leadership skills
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management, warehouse distribution, logistics, and materials handling techniques
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment; forklift certification preferred
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other inventory control tools
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and materials handling
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop staff effectively
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
