Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This role requires effective leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the front of house, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to maintain high service standards.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of front-of-house personnel, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
- Handle cash management and oversee POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for accurate transactions.
- Monitor inventory control and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure seamless service between front and back of house.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
- Implement training programs for staff on customer service, food handling, and restaurant policies.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development.
- Familiarity with quick service & fast food operations as well as fine dining experiences is preferred.
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures in a restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Background in hospitality management or culinary experience is advantageous.
- Previous experience in shift management, supervising staff, and training & development is essential.
