Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Cannabis Budtender to join our Mello team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis and a strong background in retail sales. As a Budtender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, educating customers about our products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your expertise in cannabis products and your ability to communicate effectively will play a crucial role in helping customers make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their needs and preferences
- Provide product demonstrations and educate customers about various strains, edibles, and accessories
- Operate Dutchie (POS) system efficiently for transactions
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing display of merchandise through effective merchandising techniques
- Stock shelves with products and ensure inventory is up to date
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling policies
- Upsell additional products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain compliance with state regulations regarding cannabis sales
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Ability to upsell products while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Experience with supervising staff is a plus
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse clientele
- Knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, edibles, and accessories is highly desirable
- Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone
