What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cultivation Lead position at Mello Farms?
The Cultivation Lead position is a leadership position that will aid Jamaco, LLC dba Mello Farms team members throughout the entire cultivation process, included but not limited to the following responsibilities. This position will report directly to the Cultivation Manager.
Schedule:
- Tuesday - Saturday - 8:00am - 4:30pm
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee technician performance, provide training, and report on team progress as well as individuals.
- Ensure the cultivation team adheres to production schedules and meets all key deadlines.
- Manage all aspects of plant cultivation, including care, maintenance, fertigation, and environmental controls.
- Ensure the entirety of the facility remains compliant at all times.
- Track and optimize plant health, nutrient schedules, and pest management.
- Responsible for data tracking and proficient use of Metrc, Dutchie, and any systems or programs that support the cultivation process.
- Adhere to production schedules, SOPs, and all company/state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and support overall facility cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
- Report any issues or deviations in plant health, compliance, or operations promptly.
General and Physical Requirements:
- Per MA state regulations, qualified candidates must be at least 21 years of age, qualified to work in the US, and able to pass a background check may disqualify candidates based on MA state marijuana licensing regulations.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Must be able to obtain a MA state-issued Registered Agent Card
- Must meet the physical demands of the role. This is a labor-intensive position requiring the ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 75 pounds (125 pounds with assistance). The job may involve walking or standing for extended periods, as well as stooping, bending, or crouching.
- This position will be exposed to moderate to loud noise levels and may work in hotter and humid conditions.
- This role requires working weekends and holidays, and the schedule may be adjusted as needed.
Education/Required Knowledge and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Basic math and science skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
