SUMMARY
Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicates on a regular basis with the General Manager and/or Corporate HR Director to discuss operating requirements, company policy, employee relations, and/or other similar activities
- Communicates with the Manufacturing Manager, other department managers and supervision concerning company policies, operating, disciplinary procedures, accidents/incident reporting and investigations and/or other similar employee related items
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with current local, State and Federal regulations
- Develops job postings, recruiting needs, interviewing procedures, pre-employment testing (including drug screening), reference, security checking, and hiring
- Performs job analysis to identify the knowledge, skills, and expertise required by employees to perform job assignments; establish criteria for selection and promotions; design objective for training and development programs; develop standards for the measurement of performance, and assist with the determination of pay classification levels
- Develops and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
- Understands and implements key strategic hiring initiatives
- Exercises sound judgment to make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
- Administers employee relations policies and procedures
- Assist managers and supervisors in drafting/revising job descriptions to be consistent with job analysis, expectations and requirements
- Manages performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
- Maintains employee personnel files
- Maintains records and computes employee statistics for the company, corporate office and government reporting Prepares and submits reports as required
- Collects and analyzes data; defines problem areas and identifies areas for improvements to help insure the growth of the company
- Manage and audit employee attendance recordkeeping
- Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations, such as workmen’s compensation, unemployment, or other legal matters
- Conducts wage and benefit surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage and benefit package
- Manages onboarding and offboarding duties
- Develops and/or coordinates employee training programs and recordkeeping system
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct management
- Conduct investigation when an employee receives written disciplinary action to make sure the disciplinary action was warranted and in-line with company policies and procedures. Identify root cause of incident and if corrective action was applicable
- Consult with upper management and/or Corporate HR Director for appropriate action to be taken concerning employee relations issues in accordance with corporation policies and procedures
- Responsible for administering revisions of Employee Handbook and/or Attendance Policy as necessary and working with corporate legal counsel
- Administer benefit programs such as life, health, dental, vision and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, employee assistance, Family Medical Leave, 401K Retirement and employee voluntary benefits plans as directed by Corporate Office
- Perform monthly reconciliation of benefit billing statements and payment authorization
- Responsible for planning and coordinating employee special events such as retirement luncheons, picnics, and/or other company sponsored events
- Post notices on Company Bulletin Boards informing employees of various company activities, policy and/or procedure changes, benefit information, safety items, and other company events
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No Supervisory Responsibilities
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Two (2) to Four (4) years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Perform internet communications; computer skills required in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Effectively communicate, speak and present information.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Work in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to heat, loud noise, dust, odors, dirt/dust and fumes
- Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, reach, and grasp
- Frequently lift and lower up to 25 pounds. Assistance is required when lifting over 25 pounds

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
