Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your energetic approach will ensure a positive experience, guiding clients through the service process with transparency and enthusiasm. You will coordinate with technicians to deliver high-quality service, upsell additional repairs when appropriate, and maintain detailed records of all transactions. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
• Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly, ensuring customers are well-informed
• Prepare accurate auto estimates and service writing documentation for technicians and management
• Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission diagnostics to maximize customer satisfaction and shop productivity
• Coordinate with mechanics and technicians to prioritize repairs, track progress, and ensure timely completion of services
• Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and manage service-related paperwork diligently
• Maintain comprehensive records of all customer interactions, service orders, and vehicle histories

Requirements

• Proven dealership or automotive service management experience with a strong understanding of auto repair procedures
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, air brakes, suspension, shocks & struts, tire services, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair
• Experience in auto estimating software and service writing is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
• Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
• Mechanical knowledge combined with mechanic experience or service technician background is a plus
• Familiarity with automotive repair processes including alignment, vehicle maintenance schedules, and automobile sales is advantageous
