This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your automotive expertise while delivering top-tier customer service. All employees must be able to work Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of recommended services
- Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates for various automotive repairs including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension, tire service, engine repair, and other maintenance repairs
- Identify opportunities for upselling additional services that enhance vehicle safety and performance while meeting customer needs
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repair orders and ensure timely completion of services such as alignments, shocks & struts, air brakes, and maintenance repairs
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding repair progress, costs, and recommended maintenance plans
- Maintain detailed service writing records and ensure all documentation complies with the store's standards
- Handle cash/credit card transactions accurately while managing client communication professionally to foster trust and satisfaction
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, or auto service management is highly preferred
- Prior dealership or car care repair shop experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability in auto estimating, service writing, and client communication enhances success in this role
- Hands-on mechanic experience or technical training in automotive repair broadens your capability to assist customers effectively
