What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Developer / Eligibility Referral Specialist II position at Meigs County Department of Job and Family Services?
The primary purpose of the Eligibility Referral Specialist 2 is to assist the Universal Customer’s job search/job development skills that walk into the OhioMeansJobs building. This will include greeting, assisting, and screening people that are applying for agency programs through the JFS and OMJ, as well as connect/refer them to outside programs and services. Evaluates individual’s background, skills, and interests and matches them to potential job openings or trainings. Coaches and prepares candidate for interview and entry into the workforce. Assist in writing resumes and working with employers in obtaining employment for customers. The Eligibility Referral Specialist 2 will perform general clerical duties of the OMJ unit, including assisting customers with the self-check Kiosk as well as creating accounts for customers in the OhioMeansJobs job search programs. Maintain a job book that contains all employes that are hiring so that customers will have access to the most up to date information. Works closely with Partners (VA, Mature Services, UC, etc) that work within the OhioMeansJobs, what services they provide and referring customers to these services when appropriate.
