Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry and looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
-Assist chefs and cooks in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
-Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, ensuring all utensils and equipment are sanitized.
-Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling of all food products.
-Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and keeping track of ingredients.
-Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, and ovens under supervision.
-Support the team during service by preparing garnishes and plating dishes as needed.
-Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to maintain a hygienic environment.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
