Our practice is based on providing primary care medical office. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Primary care office. You will support physicians and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The role of Medical Assistant is responsible for guiding patients along their journey to achieve their better health goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include:
- prepare patients, taking vital signs,document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update medical records
- Phlebotomy and EKG
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- Degree in Medical Assistant- desirable
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records
- Good attitude, professionalism, promote team structure
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) desirable
- Phlebotomy/ EKG certification
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Insurance verification and request procedure authorization experience
- Spanish speaking is plus but not required
