CAE Engineer – General
Location: Dearborn, MI
W2 Only
Focus: Structural CAE / Nonlinear FEA / ABAQUS
Must-Have Skills
- ABAQUS – #1 Priority
- Minimum 3 years hands-on ABAQUS experience; 5 years preferred
- Strong nonlinear FEA
- Model setup, solution procedures, convergence monitoring, debugging, and post-processing
- Must be able to hit the ground running with ABAQUS
- HyperMesh – #2 Priority
- Strong experience with pre-processing, geometry cleanup, meshing, and mesh assessment
- Ability to review and modify meshes independently
- Structural CAE / FEA
- 4 years of structural engineering/CAE experience
- Strong finite element modeling and simulation knowledge
- Experience with complex nonlinear structural problems
- nCode / fe-safe – #3 Priority
- Fatigue analysis and durability assessment experience
- 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX)
- Working experience with 3DX or equivalent PLM/CAE environment
- Model Build & Setup
- This is a critical screening area and represents approximately 25% of the role
- Strong FEA fundamentals and ability to independently build and debug FE models
- Nonlinear Solve Execution
- Approximately 20% of the role
- Convergence monitoring, solver adjustments, and HPC submission
- Correlation & Post-Processing
- Correlating CAE models with physical test data
- Model tuning and sensitivity analysis
- Results interpretation and technical reporting

- CAE-to-physical-test correlation experience
